We research, care for and share the archives of the parish of Barton Stacey, Hampshire.

The estate centred on Drayton Lodge is the land bought by the War Department in 1943.

The original farm cottages near the Difford Bridge are now a single property and the site of a kennels.

More recent times have seen the construction of the A303, the building of the motel site and mobile home park and the recycling centre.

Much of the area was, from the 1930s, the site of the Army Camps.
